British’s alt meat company Moving Mountains is continuing to innovate this time delivering what it claims is the “meatiest plant-based product in the world”.
Timed to coincide with Veganuary it has released Plant-Based Beef Tender Strips that contains a mixture of pea, soya and wheat protein which it says sizzles and browns just like real beef.
Available from Sainsbury’s the strips are housed in the frozen section and retail for £4.50 for a 250g bag.
The company argues that the strips replicate the taste and the texture of real meat in every way and are designed to be game-changers for meat eaters looking to eat more plant-based products but not wishing to give up on the taste of meat.
Simeon Van der Molen, Founder of Moving Mountains says: “At Moving Mountains® we’ve created the meatiest plant-based product in the world with our Beef Tender Strips. Released just in time for Veganuary, now even the most dedicated of carnivores have no excuse not to give a plant-based or flexitarian diet a try in the New Year.
“We have perfected the recipe with a team of scientists, chefs and technological innovations, and it is the closest replication to beef available on the market. The product provides a real solution to the environmental impact of the animal agriculture industry, without compromising on taste for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters.”
